Grey face,
Cloudy eyes,
Never jumps,
Always lies,
Scratch the belly,
Itch the ear,
Toss a treat,
Hold back tears,
Dog of a lifetime,
Companion of the ages,
Friend to the end,
Through all life stages.

Great poem! Funny you should write one. I was looking at my two labs the other day and thought about writing one that conveyed their meaning to me.
